Mrs. El Sayed enjoys over 25 years of experience in the banking, non-banking and investments financial services industry. Her core expertise includes corporate debt origination and management, balance sheet risk management, corporate restructure, as well as, corporate strategy and business growth.

Building on her broad corporate and financial expertise, Mrs. El Sayed serves on the boards of a diverse portfolio of financial institutions operating in Egypt; also sitting as an Independent Chair and member of several of the related Risk, Audit and ALCO committees.

Mrs. El Sayed served for 20 years with HSBC Bank, where she held several leadership roles in both Wholesale Banking and Strategy & Planning in both Egypt and Dubai, covering 12 countries in MENA. During the last two years with HSBC, she led a USD 2billion asset book and was a core member of the Global Talent Pool of Leaders, HSBC Bank Egypt Executive Committee, the Asset Liability Committee, the Risk Committee, and the People Committee.

In 1995, Mrs. El Sayed graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the American University in Cairo in Economics and earned her MBA from the same university in 2000.
